Ms. Leying Yao holds an M.A. in Educational Psychology (Counseling and Clinical Psychology) from Columbia University and a B.S. in Psychology from Syracuse University. She previously served as a language and behavior intervention tutor for children with ASD at the Center for Autism & Related Disorders (CARD). Her research interests include ASD intervention, special education, VR-based psychotherapy, educational psychology, and AI applications in special education. As first author, she has published in SSCI/SCI-indexed journals and international conferences, with work on VR exposure therapy for PTSD, ASD students’ classroom performance, and generative AI in graduate learning.
